Well where to begin…….. This 993 came into our workshops needing a service and MOT.It failed the MOT on two items which were a leaking front damper and an imbalance on the front brakes.The customer declined the repairs and sold the car on to us as it was.We decided to go the whole way with this 993C2S and have carried out the following work to it:Full M030 suspension kit fitted.New front suspension top mountings.New front spring adjusting platforms.New M030 bump stops.New rear anti-roll bar bushes and drop link rods.New steering rack gaiters and track rods.Powerflex bushes fitted to front lower suspension arms.Brand new set of N rated Continental tyres.Full 4 wheel geometry setup with corner weights checked and adjusted.Full set of brake discs and pads fitted.( Genuine brake pads and front discs).All new dampening plates fitted and sensor wires changed.Caliper plates removed and cleaned where needed.New front brake disc backing plates fitted as old ones corroded.New handbrake cable fitted as seized.Replaced all rear bumper support bars as corroded.Replaced all engine and bonnet support struts as weak in operation.We have carried out a full 24000 mile service which includes, engine oil, 2 oil filters, 12 spark plugs, cabin filters, air filter, fuel filter and a full set of wiper blades complete with a new rear wiper arm.Adittional to this we have also replaced the alternator belts and air-conditioning drive belt.We have also replaced all the spark plug ignition leads, distributor caps and rotor arms.We repalced the lower cam-covers as they were leaking badly, we replaced the top cam-cover gaskets and whilst we were in there we put a set of hydraulic tappets in as we noted they were slightly noisy.As these 993 cars get older they do need some maintenance to keep them in good running order and I can safely say that most 993 cars around this age and mileage will need alot of whats been done to this car and as a guide this amount of work through an independent Porsche specialist would cost in excess of £8K! This 993 does not need a single thing doing to it because we have done all of it.We do not sell cars, this is a first for us and as you can tell I am very paticular with the quality of a car for sale as this is how I would expect to purchase a car from a garage, but as we all know they are very rarely in this condition.I would say this has got to be one of the best 993 C2S cars out there!This car has been fully valeted inside and out and is ready for sale now.It has had the paint clay barred and Swissvax wax applied.
